What you will learn
At the end of this unit, you will:

• Understand the losses calculation concept in risk assessments.
• Understand the surge protection requirements of a building/structure with an external lightning protection system under BS 7671.
Who should learn
Before embarking on the course, it was expected that the delegate/student would have learned the use of Ohm’s Law, concept of resistance, inductance and capacitance. Ideally, the delegate/student is working in the field of electrical services engineering either in design/inspection or in installation/testing.
