Unit overview
Systems offer high performance alternatives to DSL on twisted copper, and this unit explores those options. Each brings a range of advantages and disadvantages - and are often suitable only within a specific market context - but collectively (together with DSL) they provide a highly flexible set of alternatives available to network operators.
By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Describe the main concept, operation, advantages and limitations of Fibre, Coaxial, Fixed Wireless and Power Line broadband systems
This unit is for those new to telecoms or for those requiring a better understanding of telecommunication technologies and networks.
