Introduction to Electrical Building Services
This course offers a simple but thorough review of all aspects of electricity use within buildings.
The course starts by introducing how electricity is generated, transmitted and enters buildings. Next, it explains how electricity is used in buildings through lighting, power, heating systems and other examples. The course then continues to explain electrical protection and miscellaneous and associated systems such as fire alarm systems, lighting protection and IT network systems.

Paul is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Director with 30 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical building engineering design, contracting, maintenance and operation. Paul’s specialisms include electrical building services, mechanical building services, energy efficiency and renewable infrastructures. Paul has successfully set up 2 business (BSSEC in the UK and BECC in Canada) with associated boards and management teams. Paul acts as an ambassador to the Institute of Directors and is a member of the IET. In 2016 Paul was awarded the Institute of Directors' “New Chartered Director” title and is a fellow of the IoD.|
