In this unit several trends - e.g. personalisation, safety, connectivity etc. - for the future prospects of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) development are considered. The unit gives details about how modern cars are also sensors of traffic demand and how they can participate in the traffic control in order to improve traffic management and safety.
