Connected and Autonomous Vehicles: Connectivity Unit 3 - Introduction to ad-hoc networks - principles, problems, MANET, VANET
This unit introduces the basic concepts of vehicle to vehicle networks. The material in the unit introduces the connectivity rules between computer network nodes on the move. It presents the basic ideas as to how to transmit a message between two cars which move and do not have exact positions during the interaction. The material at the end of the unit gives an idea of what to look for in security for such networks.

To acquire knowledge about the routing process in such networks
To understand the types of risks associated with VANET and MANET
• Team leaders – connectivity (one level up from developers)
• Technical Architects – designing novel connectivity concepts – high level concepts adoption
• CTO – understanding and driving the development of novel applications in the connectivity part of CAVs
