Unit overview

In this unit we will be looking at routing planning on different levels in this unit. The two most important levels are the global context of reaching the destination and which routes to choose and the local context on the navigation of the actual road.

For that purpose, we will, firstly, discuss how local environments can be transformed for computers to work with. Secondly, we present a number of shortest path algorithms. Thirdly, we briefly introduce multimodal routing and what role CAVs may play in this.
