It will give an overview from the lowest to the highest levels of a typical machine vision pipeline, with important algorithmic examples highlighted when necessary.

What you will learn
● Special attention will be given to the CAV setting, which typically involves multiple cameras in motion. This setting presents greater complexity, but the extra data presents an opportunity for extra data recovery.
● Understand the fundamentals of image acquisition and representation in machines
● Describe common low-level image processing operations
● Explain how robust features across images may be detected and extracted
● Recognise how high-level scene understanding such as 3D reconstruction and object recognition are performed
